Buurman livid with Algarve penalty

Superleague Formula frontrunner Yelmer Buurman has attacked the decision to give him a drive-through penalty in Sunday's opening race at Circuit do Algarve, claiming that he was not given a warning flag like his similarly-penalised rival Andy Soucek before it was applied. AC Milan's Buurman, who entered the race just three points behind series leader Craig Dolby of Tottenham Hotspur, had charged from 13th to fourth, but was given a drive-through for crossing the white line at the exit of Turn 3. Instead of gaining points, the penalty puts him 18 points behind new leader Davide Rigon of Anderlecht
